Back end of shaft is slightly longer than 50% of total length to shift leverage point away from middle of shaft.
Please note that having a threaded join in the middle of your spear can result in a weak point and is more prone to damage than a single piece spear. Ensure to tighten spear middle connection before and after every shot as the unpredictable nature of a fish fighting can cause thread to loosen.
