Jackson, Darren’s eldest son started at the young age of about 5 years old.
He got his first kingfish on one of his first dives weighing in at 16kgs. He then went on to win several junior spearfishing events and also hold junior records for Striped Marlin, Golden Snapper, Flounder, Sweep, Skip Jack Tuna & Mahi Mahi. Jackson has placed 2nd & 3rd numerous times in the New Zealand spearfishing champs, has won the South Island champs & represented New Zealand in the Interpacifics as well as the World Spearfishing Champs. He is also the 2021 NZ Spearfishing champion. Jackson is the manager of Wettie Wetsuits & shares with customers his wealth of knowledge.
